Our First Meeting

Wow, that was nerve wracking.

I was so worried that no one would tern up to our first Grange Road Big Lunch meeting. I'm glad to say seven lovely people made it and everyone has something really cool to add.

Our first step is too get in touch with the council to find out exactly how much of the road that we can have for the big day. Shabdam and Laura have volunteered to get onto the council.

As soon as we know what we have to play with we will all get together to start serious planning!

I can't wait!!!!!

Grange Road 19^th July 2009

On Sunday 19th July 2009, The Big Lunch is inviting you and all 61 million people across the UK to simultaneously sit down to eat lunch with your neighbours, in the middle of your street as a simple act of community.

A new initiative run by the Eden Project, The Big Lunch encourages communities to come together through growing food and flowers; creating street music, art and theatre; dressing the street and, of course, cooking and eating together.
